There is something interesting about this Orquesta. Orquesta Dee Jay has an authentic swinging soul sound in their salsa not only in their lyrics but in their music arrangements. There is no question, the album “Forget it” should have won a Grammy in my book for best swinging Latin Salsa, best single “Forget it” and best coro in the 70s by Yayo El Indio, Adaberlto Santiago & Elio Romero. Every track on this album is a killer.

ABOUT THE FRONT COVER!
There were so many errors done in the 70’s with several record labels. Even Fania records made errors. The songs on Ralfi Pagan’s With Love album duplicated on both sides of the vinyl. Ghetto Records printed labels and pasted it them on the wrong recordings. The errors continued with Orquesta Dee Jay’s LP “Forget it.” Charlie Rosario a great and pioneer designer of the 70s for Latin album covers designed the “Forget it” album. The name of the band and title of the album was barely readable because it was printed with a very small what appeared to be a Miami Font. One of the question marks was suppose be inverted upside down signifying the Spanish question mark. Without verifying with anyone, the production crew decided to fix what appeared to be an error and flipped the question mark. By then it was too late. Thousands of copies were already pressed and were on their way to the record stores. The front cover of the CD on this site is the actual front cover as it was intended to be published in the 70s."
