Ion Albesteanu
and folk Orchestra
(EDC456)
Born in the 1930s he passed away in 1998. Like many musicians of his time Ion
Albesteanu had to work within the 'folklore' restrictions of the political
regimes, however he still managed to maintain a genuine 'village' style.
Although mainly well known as a violinist and singer Ion Albesteanu played
many other instruments associated with the 'lautari'.
