The brothers Petreus, Ion and Stefan, accompanied by small folk ensembles.
This is a collection of their work from the archives of
Electrecord, Romania.
The Petreus brothers are typical of the fiddle players that can be heard
in such parts of present day Romania as Transylvania and Bukovina. Hailing
from Maramures County they inherited their musical gift from their father,
who was well known in these regions not only as a great violinist but also
as someone who made violins.
