From record label:
"With their 1991 debut album, these twelve Gypsy musicians aged 18 to 74, originating from a small Romanian village, had introduced us to a musical world which includes medieval ballads,
Turkish-flavoured dance tunes from the Balkans, and characteristic vocal
inflections.
The Taraf de Haïdouks are a bunch of extraordinary and colourful characters, who have managed to convince the audiences of the biggest World Music festivals. This album was recorded in Bucharest in 1995, and its release was followed by extensive touring all around Europe."
