From record label:
"The present programme includes Vesselin STANEV's next recital released on CD. It features 12 Etudes, op. 10, and 12 Etudes, op. 25 by Frederic Chopin.
T
Chopin composed his opuses in the period 1829-1836. Initially, they were intended as exercise pieces for a particular technical issue, which appeared while working on his concertos. But the narrow pedagogical goal, which he had first set, surpassed his initial intention and the works became part of the concert repertoire of all famous performers. The Etudes, op. 10 were dedicated to Franz Liszt, and the etudes, op. 25 - to Liszt's wife, Countess Marie d'Agoult. Both opuses are a criterion for brilliant technique, performing mastership and a prominent mark for the creative maturity of every pianist.
Vesselin Stanev certainly possesses these qualities."
"Stanev ...is truly a prince of the keyboard".
