decades. Romanian composers, conductors, instrumentalists, lyrical singers, prove the profound

LUPU'S magnificent
career is one more proof.
Born in 1945, he performs his first concert at twelve. Piano masters as Florica Musicescu and
Cella Delavrancea guided his personality. Between 1961 and 1968 he studied in Moscow with the
renowned pedagogues Heinrich and Stanislav Neuhaus. In the same decade, Radu Lupu explosively imposes himself with his triumph in several difficult international competitions (Van Cliburn - 1966,
George Enescu - 1967, Leeds - 1969).
In 1989, the Italian Critics Association awards him the Abiati Prize.
Radu Lupu lives in London and amplifies continually his concert activity in all musical centres of the world. He played under the baton of famous conductors as Herbert von Karajan (concerts in Berlin and in the Salzburg Festival), Carlo Maria Giulini, Zubin Ulehta, Riccardo Muti, Daniel Barenboim and others. He is considered actually as one of the most profound exponent of the idea of classical syle in performing works by composers situated in Mozart-Beethoven-Schuhert sphere..."
