In the centre of Budapect in the street called Molnar Utca, Kalamajka
held their weekly Tanchaz. For many years this was 'the place' to go to in
Budapest to see and hear the best folk music and dancing outside of
Transylvania. But all good things come to an end.
Bela Halmos from Kalamajka has worked with Ferenc Sebo, Muzsikas and on many solo projects and was a leading light of the 70s tanchaz
movement.
