'On the edge of the shattered Hungarian world there are still many who live the traditional farmer lifestyle. On the very edge of the farthest border, beyond the reaches of the big mountain range is where the Moldavian Csango people live.

Ilona Nyisztor comes from there and brings us the lullabies, ballads, celebration and dance songs of that pure and disappearing culture.'

The songs are from the world of musical traditions of the Hungarian villages of the Bako (Bacau) region (in Eastern Romania).
