Fondor Ensemble's repertoire is wide, containing the whole
spectrum of music from the Carpathian Basin, for example the music of Kalotaszeg, Szilágyság and Szatmár, just to name a few.
On this new collection of Hungarian folk songs Fondor have
concentrated on the part of Transylvania called Szilagy. Although now part
of Romania, Szilagy has a long Hungarian history and still has a
population of Hungarian speakers.
