Csík Ensemble was formed in Kecskemét, in 1988. Over the years they have been playing Hungarian folk music and have become popular playing at dance-houses and concerts in Hungary and abroad. The admiration of the professional community is proved by the fact that the
Csík won the title of "The Young Masters of Folk Arts" in 1991, the Main Prize of the Fourth Folk Music Festival of Bonyhád and also the Special Prize of The Hungarian Radio.
The band was also awarded the title of "Excellent Folk Art Ensemble".
