What are lost are the people that sing and play on these archive recordings. They are no longer with us, but we have in these recordings a window to their tradition and art. It is a wide tradition held dear to many - not only Hungarian but Romanian, Slovakian, Hujul, German, Jewish and Gypsy people; and what better way to celebrate this music than to share it with the world. Thus these recordings have been lovingly restored and are presented here for the first time on compact disc.
