This music production is a mirror of Bulgarian folk culture...

Milen SLAVOV is an award-winning composer and accordionist. Born in Stara Zagora in the Thrace region of Bulgaria, he began playing accordion at the age of seven. At 13 he was a Gold Medallist for Folk Song Performance at the Koprivshtitsa National Folk Festival. Majoring in tambura, he graduated from the elite Kutev Music School in Kotel.

For the past 15 years Slavov has earned an international reputation as a composer of original music and arrangements for Bulgarian folk instruments in both traditional and contemporary styles...

For the 'Passing with the Time' CD, Slavov selected some of the most beloved folk songs of Bulgaria, and arranged them by composing original introductions, intermedias, and codas. He produced a recording that is a mirror of Bulgarian musical culture, giving the listener a chance to experience the pure, magical sound of unaccompanied traditional instruments and voice."
