'Instrumental tunes, horos and rachenitsas from all regions of Bulgaria

This album part of a new series in which Gega New presents all musical instruments used in Bulgarian folklore.

The tambura is one of the most widely spread musical instruments. Rumen SIRAKOV is without doubt the best performer of tambura. At the moment he is soloist of the folk music orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio and he has also played for many years with the popular Thracian Troika group. He has also played for the Balkana Folk group, and with Trio Bulgarka. They have been together on a number of tours in Europe, Asia and the USA. The present CD includes part of his most-popular instrumental melodies, horo dances and rachenitsas.'

Rumen SIRAKOV is also featured on the release 'Jana-Janica' by Roza Bancseva and Orkestar Slavia (FA083-2)
