Bora Dugić is a distinguished artist on the Serbian and Balkan music scene and the most prominent interpreter of the ancient musical instrument - the shepherd's flute.

 'This flute is a very simple instrument-in its basis is a pipe with seven holes and a whistle. By definition, only simple, pastoral melody can be played on the shepherd's flute. Bora Dugic, however, has demonstrated that this instrument can produce all sorts of different melodies-from pastoral elegies to fast, virtuoso compositions, even the parts from classical music. Thanks to his exquisite taste, his emotions, his sense for phrase and outstanding performing technique, Bora Dugic has been ranked among the world greatest folk music artists.'
