variety...'

fRoots magazine
'When people hear the name of Milan in northern Italy they normally think of fashion or football, but the city and surrounding area are also home to a thriving folk music scene, with many bands playing for dances and concerts. Currently one of the most successful is
FEREBANDAPERTA, better known as FBA.
FBA was formed in 1993 by guitarist and songwriter Maurizio Feregalli and has recorded four albums since 1997; the repertoire is based on
European folk & celtic dances, together with many songs whose lyrics are written in
Italian dialects and other languages (French, ancient Spanish...).
The band has toured France and England, has played in all the main Italian festivals sharing the stage with
"folk monsters" such as Dervish (Ireland), Skolvan (Brittany), Capercaille (Scotland) and Berroguetto (Galicia) and has been awarded "best
Italian folk band" for the year 2002 during the Milan's "Samonios - Celtic New Years
Day".'
'Born in 1993 as an "artistic workshop", FBA were finalists in February 1999 at the fourteenth Leon d'Oro festival in Venice. Since then the band have played at many major folk festivals including Alnwick International Music Festival, Broadstairs Folk Week and Fylde Folk Festival in England, F.I.M.U. at Belfort France, Festival Internazionale del Mediterraneo, Ostiano Interceltic Festival, Trigallia, Folkermesse, Isola Folk Festival and many others in Italy. At Samonios, the Celtic New Year festival in Milan, the band have played alongside Capercaillie, Dervish, Skolvan, Berroguetto and Mairtin O'Connor. They played at the Milan Bocconi University Centenary and as support act, opened a concert by Modena City Ramblers and the eighth Tribute Concert to Augusto Daolio, leader of the great Italian pop-rock band
Nomadi.'
